Happy Dog Music has been supplying Big Bands for private and public events for over three decades. With a wealth of experience, we boast a rich history of providing entertainment for a client list that includes Royalty to beloved national institutions such as the Chatsworth House and the London Palladium. We have supplied featured Big Bands for some of the world's most prestige Cruise Line's including the QE2 and Saga Cruises.

Our agency was first formed in 1995 by Greg Francis under the title, U.S.O Productions. Greg who was a beloved figure within the music industry, spear headed a Big Band resurgence in the 1990's with "The Memphis Belle Swing Orchestra". The orchestra became a house hold name performing to packed theaters,dance halls and hanger dances across the UK. Greg later went on to acquire the ownership rights from the late Ronnie Aldrich to manage "The New Squadronaires Orchestra" which resulted in further success not only for the organization, but for the UK music industry in general as a new generation of Big Band musicians emerged.

 

In 2000, we were asked to provide the Big Bands for the new season at the world-famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom. The season was such a success, we went on to provide the entertainment for the next four years including the newly formed stage show, the "Kings of Swing". During this time, the bands where busier than ever touring the UK and Europe as well as proudly provided the entertainment for the hotel chain, Warner who would feature our Big Bands and Show's on a weekly basis.

In 2012, Paul (Greg's son) had become the musical director and producer for the "Kings of Swing". Paul successfully took the show on tour in the USA and has now become an established name on both sides of the Atlantic The "Kings of Swing" is currently preparing for it's up and coming twentieth anniversary tour and dates/venues are TBA.
